4th hole ring (right index finger): Depress ring only and leave the hole open.
6th hole ring (right ring finger): Depress ring only and leave the hole open.
How to find out the date of the make of your Kung recorder:
On the backside of your instrument there is a three or four character code. Format of the first 3 characters is xyz. xz represent the year, and y is the month. A stands for January, B for February and so on. Letter J ist not used or means I.
Example: Code 9F5 means June 1995, and 0M0 stands for December 2000.
If there is a fourth character B, it means Pear wood (Birne in German).
